"How to Play Blues Guitar Lesson Two" Overview

In this series of lessons we will explore various fingerstyle blues guitar styles and techniques. Our final aim is to give you the freedom to improvise playing a blues in all the keys studied. As a bonus feature, audio tracks are included featuring rare recordings of the songs and styles presented. Each tune is taught phrase by phrase and played slowly on a split-screen. Lesson Two (GW972dvd): In our second lesson we focus on the Keys of G and D. The playing techniques of Blind Lemon Jefferson, Rev. Gary Davis, Tommy Johnson and Lonnie Johnson are discussed as well as many other facets of fingerpicking in these keys. We will travel from the Carolinas to Texas to the Mississippi Delta to the sophisticated sounds of Lonnie Johnson.
